Water Warriors
Our Year 2 students have been busy learning everything they need to know to become Water Warriors! Next week they will receive their license and be ready to solve all sorts of water problems.
In preparation for our Water Warrior role, we invited the team from Queensland Urban Utilities to come and share their water conservation messages. We learnt to ‘Turn to Tap’ (drink tap water and use reusable water bottles) rather than drinking from single-use disposable water bottles all the time, and to ‘Don’t flush that!’ This meant that we should only flush the three Ps – Pee, Poo and Paper! Our three role models taught us songs and inspired us to be Water Warriors at home and at school!
Hopefully if we all do our little bit, we can help save water in our local community!
