Students to be ‘the wave of change’!
Last term our Tangalooma EcoMarines, accompanied by our Young Round Square team, travelled to the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre to attend ‘The Wave’ conference. Opened by our Environment Minister Steven Miles, and hosted by Seven News presenter Bill McDonald, ‘The Wave’ conference was an opportunity for our School representatives to learn about what fantastic initiatives other schools have implemented to help protect Moreton Bay and the animals that live within it.
Participants learnt that it is important to look local… and to go global!
Buzzing with ideas, our team are eager to get planning on some pretty great ways to encourage our school community to be ‘The Wave of change.’ Watch this space!
