Cadets

St Paul’s School Army Cadet Unit provides an excellent opportunity for students to develop leadership skills. St Paul’s is one of only a few Queensland schools with a Cadet Unit.  Students participate in various leadership forums of a theoretical nature as well a range of outdoor activities such as unit training, ceremonial parades and camping. Students also have the opportunity to complete a Duke of Edinburgh Award through Cadets.

Chess

Students get the chance to pit their chess skills against fellow students and other schools.  The St Paul’s Chess Club is fully equipped with match size chess sets and clocks. It also boasts an outdoor, full size chess set for students to access at lunchtimes which is played by Junior, Middle and Senior School students.

Dance

Dance is a pursuit that has a long tradition at St Paul’s School. The combination of state-of-the-art facilities (The Walker Centre) and a close relationship with Dance Directions has afforded many students the chance to flourish through training and performance. Dance can be engaged with through direct involvement with Dance Directions and also through curricular opportunities in the Junior School and as an elective in Years 7, 8 and 9.

Debating

St Paul’s debating teams compete as part the Queensland Debating Union and Circuit Debating Society.  Students of all ages have the opportunity to compete and learn valuable skills; particularly the ability to think on their feet.

Drama

Drama is offered to students in Middle and Senior School and provides a multitude of performance opportunities including plays, musicals and tours.  Our recently opened, state of the art Performing Arts Centre provides our Drama students with exceptional opportunities to perform their works.

The St Paul’s Photography Club is an interactive, photography-based club. Members are involved in photographing all major events on the St Paul’s School Calendar as well as exploring their own creativity in the photographic medium.

Interact

Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people in Middle and Senior School. Our Interact club is sponsored by Pine Rivers Rotary Club, and each year students complete at least two community service projects, one of which furthers international understanding and goodwill.
