Romeo, Romeo
Where for art thou Romeo?
Students in Year 10 have studied the classic Shakespearean tale, ‘Romeo and Juliet’, in their English subject. Their assessment piece involved a critical reflection on how the play is taught in classrooms – is it best taught in its original form, or is a modern adaptation more relevant to today’s students?
The students’ learning culminated in a public peaking competition, Talking Heads. The finalists presented their speeches in front of their peers and a panel of judges. Competition was tough, with lots of intricate ideas and different perspectives eloquently shared.
Congratulations to Anna Russell on being this year’s winner!
