As an Anglican school, St Paul’s takes seriously the commands of Jesus to love your Maker and love your neighbour.
We believe every person is valued and a unique creation of a loving God who offers peace and forgiveness through the life and teaching of Jesus Christ
St Paul’s has many links through the local community, both with local State Schools and other community organisations. For example, St Paul’s students regularly visit Bald Hills State School to assist with reading activities and mentoring.
Students have the opportunity to gather for breakfasts or lunch provided by the School to talk about life – both big issues and small. This helps foster a greater sense of community across year groups and cultures.
Students attend regular chapel services for worship and celebration of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Religious and Values Education (RaVE) classes are also incorporated into the School’s curriculum.
Each year, the School holds fundraising days for breast cancer (Pink Day) and prostate cancer (Blue Day) to help raise awareness and funds for critical research. Students are invited to wear pink or blue to School on these days, while the Firsts sports teams wear specially designed jerseys in honour of the cause. These days are often the highlight of the sporting calendar.
Each year 20 St Paul’s students visit the island of Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu, to help out at local schools, assist with development work in the area, and encourage local communities. While the impact to the Vanuatu community is significant, for the St Paul’s students who go, the trip is life-changing.
